Spring Nail Colors

Posted in Beauty on May 15, 2011.

Nail Polish

I usually don’t pick up on trends, but I’ve been into nail polishes a lot lately and wanted to share spring colors. These are my favorite three shades I’m seeing worn, pictured in magazines, and being talked about. Remember, you can always substitute brands. The important thing here is the color! Anything pastel, white, or even nude is in this season.

What are your favorite shades for three trends? Leave a comment below! I’m especially looking to purchase a new white, so give me some recommendations!

Nude

Dulce de Leche by OPI: A perfect nude shade for those with fair to medium skin tones, matches with everything this season. When having doubts choosing a color that won’t clash with an outfit, this is the one to go with!

White

White Tip by Sally Hansen: There are many wonderful shades of white out there, but this is all I have at the moment. White is the new black for this season! Expect to see a lot of lighter shades. Like black, white gives an indie sort of look and makes a statement.

Similar alternatives: Alpine Snow by OPI, Frosty by China Glaze, Marshmallow by Essie

Pastel

Mint Sorbet by Sally Hansen: A light mint or even a pastel mint shade seems to be popular for the spring. I’m seeing a lot of it in magazines. This is such a fun color you can experiment with!

Similar alternatives: Get in Lime by OPI, Mint Candy Apple by Essie, Re-Fresh Mint by China Glaze

    my favorite is pastel purple and mint green XD But I never leave the color on my nails long I always end up wiping it off after 2 days or so because I like my natural nail color (or with clear nail polish on top) It just feels too distracting for my eyes o_O;;

      I’m kind of the same way with certain colors!

      I had the mint green on for one day before I took it off. I guess I like using bright colors for an outfit, and then taking it off. I usually go with pinks, neutrals, and even really dark colors for a long time because I feel more comfortable wearing them. There’s something about pastel or bright colors that I want to change them more often…
