Picking up from my last closet organization post, I wanted to share the latest look of my revamped space.
- After my last post, I decided that the shoes were taking up too much space and so was my IKEA Malm dresser. (For reference, my entire half of the duplex is a mere 450 sq. feet!) I sold the dresser on Craigslist for more than what I thought it was worth, and threw everything out of the drawers.
- I made use of the shoe rack and decided to keep clothes on the shelves I made. A much more efficient use of space.
- Unmentionables are in the baskets, which I need a few more of.
- I’ve finally stained all of the wood components.
I think the most important thing I’ve learned so far is that space is like gold. My closet has the essentials, yet it still has room to grow. A crammed closet is not fun to wake up to every morning! When you pull out a shirt, 5 more should not come tumbling down.
But hey, I’m not done yet! I need some kind of doors or curtain to cover it all up.
