simple style 1

Welcome to the first entry in my Simple Style series!

I do a lot of “window browsing” online, and sometimes I like to come up with inspirational mood boards. I figured why not put together some of my favorite “wishlist” outfits to share?

My style is, of course, minimalist and neutral with pops of color.

I’m no fashionista by any stretch, but I hope this will inspire outfits that stick to the basics. I think it’s important to invest in key pieces and saving some money on others.

For example, in this combination I’d splurge on the watch and handbag, because they can definitely go with many other outfits.

  1. TOPSHOP Tall Lace Insert Tie Blouse
  2. Ruche Color My World Indie Aquamarine Ring
  3. J.CrewToothpick Mint-Green Skinny Jeans
  4. Kate Spade New York Composition Notebook iPhone Case
  5. Fossil Gold Multifunction Watch
  6. Essie – Devil’s Advocate
  7. Old Navy Womens Infinity T Strap Sandals
  8. Fossil Maddox Top Zip in Dusty Rose

What do you think of my Simple Style series? Is this something you would wear?

I love this! it took me forever to find mint colored pants that didn’t break the bank, but they look so good on and with the right accesories, definitely a great purchase, I also just purchased that Essie nail polish about a week ago, but I haven’t used it yet :) I love this series, gives me some great ideas thank you!

Thanks so much, Angie! Glad it inspires someone else! Target had some great colored pants in stock this season for a very great price. It’s crazy what I saw some of them going for elsewhere! Hope that Essie shade is as great as it looks. I have yet to try any Essie shade that disappointed. :)

I’m definitely interested in this type of fashion series, since I’m always looking for inspirations for outfits. Might be, because I’m just a train-wreck when it comes to fashion.

Those pants might be a tad too “bright” for my taste, but any other color and that outfit is a total winner :)

Good to know they’d be useful! I’ll try and throw things together more often, since I tend to browse a lot. I’m not a fashionista myself, but I try. haha

The pastel pants trend definitely won’t be around long. For something that transcends trend, I’d probably replace it with jeans or a skirt!

      (Confession: I love minty colors!)
