Look Chic and Sophisticated With Express

EXPRESS

I’ve just begun working at a new job. Luckily for me, I don’t have to dress professionally every day. However we do have meetings, as most professional places do, and that requires me to look my best.

I never recommend spending a lot of money on clothing, but when you do it’s best to invest in the right places. Invest in quality clothing that lasts and makes you look professional. It creates a positive impact on your performance and how others perceive you, plus it gives you a confidence boost where you need it most — work! All you need is one great professional outfit that looks sleek and lasts.

One of the places I always turn to when I need professional yet stylish clothing in my wardrobe is Express. I’ve been going to them for years to buy that perfectly pressed white blouse and black trousers for any professional moment in my life.

I haven’t purchased any suits. If I needed to, Express is where I would go. Sometimes it’s hard to get that balance between looking simple and professional yet feminine. Express has women’s suits that cover all of the above!

Going on right now is the Express sweepstakes, where you could win a $500 suiting makeover from Express. So if you’re like me, just starting out in the career field, and don’t have the money to invest in quality clothing to wear to work… What have you got to lose? Go ahead and enter!

Do you wear suits to work? Have you ever worn one? Do you see any women’s suits by Express that catch your eye?

I can really relate to this post as I'm starting to shop for professional suits and such T__T; Agh, I'm like a lost puppy when it comes to it because it seems so out of my norm! LOL I've been meaning to try out express as I heard they have really good petite size :3 I just hate looking for suits that doesn't drown my own personality… but at the same time it is still professional and conservative.

I tried Ann Taylor and I liked their petite..but it's still a tiny bit too big on me T_T I'll probably try out Express next since I've been planning to for so long :)

I felt like that at first, too! I hated dressing up because it made me feel like an adult… But now I can live with the fact that I "dress up" and pretend to be an adult most of the weekday. haha Express does have good petite sizing! I'm petite as well. And I didn't want something that makes me too too unfeminine, so they have a nice selection. I mostly like their blouses. :)

I love Ann Taylor! I find their petite still a bit too wide at times. Sometimes I've found it's best just to get a size S or XS in the regular instead of a petite. As you try on from different companies you get a feeling for their sizes. Good luck <3

There isn't this company here in the UK unfortunately but we have many similar professional clothing places. I don't need to dress professionally at all. I just need to dress suitable and comfortable for work. Obviously there's a few rules like no super short mini skirts or really low cut tops. I don't meet clients often and when I do, I just dress a bit smarter than usual. Those that need to face clients often will dress much smarter.

I'm pretty surprised that Express isn't in the UK! They're a pretty big clothing seller here. They carry a lot of sleek looking clothes, which is why I like to go there for my work outfits. We're the same way — I only dress up for clients! Otherwise it's more laid back since I'm just in front of the computer all day and calling clients on the phone.
