I had my name misspelled on my Starbucks yet again, but a few days after this incident someone spelled it correctly. That marks about four times they’ve spelled my name right without having to ask!

Spent most of the last two weeks with my sister, who came to visit me from Florida. (Hence the blog absence.)

I went to the Santa Monica Pier for the first time and enjoyed every second. Scored the perfect parking spot, spent time with my sis, bathed in the sun under the perfect weather, killed a bee that snuck up to sting me and saved myself a visit to the ER. Everything went great, and we enjoyed walking along the pier at the end of the day when it got chilly.

My future mother-in-law’s idea of a care package is traditional New Orleans goodness (a taste of home for Josh), so we received a bunch of food that I guess I need to try cooking. I’ll do anything for those beignets… Even if I have to make them myself!

My sales chart is pictured, and you can see there was a period of great stress the past few weeks. However, things are back up and I’m much less frustrated. I prefer to focus on the web-love part of my job, not the numbers.

I spent most of the weekday staring at my coffee.

I have a Starbucks frappuccino cup for my homemade iced coffees and then one for my hot coffee as well. This way I can pretend I’m drinking Starbucks, when in reality I rarely visit because I can’t pay $4-$5 for a cup of coffee on a regular basis. I use it as a treat every once a while, but I also like my homemade versions.

You can see the one of the left is cracked, but I don’t have the heart to toss it yet. It’s still my favorite.

Most of what I remember from last week occurred on the weekend. It involved: playing the Tera beta, having a small get-together at my place (it hurts me to have people see my place when it’s not done!), and a pool party at a friend’s house.

I have plans for this weekend, too: having another small get-together at my place Friday, attending the Renaissance Fair, and then tanning by the pool.
