A Week in Photos: Week 5

relax

  • Last week was great. I got a chance to do something I really needed to do: relax. Yet it’s Monday and I’m full speed ahead once again. Old habits die hard.
  • I’ve been buying myself weekly flowers. A smile every week for $3. How could I not?
  • Ein hogs the couch when I get home and eagerly watch Bethany Ever After. That woman has issues, but she’s totally one of my role models. I don’t think Ein cares much.
  • I had a wonderful Easter weekend. Look at this basket Josh’s mom sent! I’ve actually been losing weight the past few weeks, but this huge chocolate bunny will keep me stable for weeks.
  • Went out for ELF tinted moisturizer. They were out, so I bought other things I needed from ELF instead of ordering from more expensive brands. Saved me some money! Review coming soon…
  • Okay, the Revlon Lip Butter in Creamsicle… I admit that was a splurge. They’re deserving of the hype, by the way.

I love fresh flowers but they’re usually quite expensive. Where are you getting them for $3? I’d love to have fresh flowers weekly, it would bring a smile on my face as well.
I agree, the Revlon Lip Butters are awesome :D I have them in several shades (including creamsicle), and I find myself using those more than my lipsticks now!

Trader Joe’s! The single sets range from $3-$5. The variety bundles are $4 and up. I love that store; I can’t get groceries anywhere else! Flowers totally transform a room. :)

Creamsicle was a bit lighter on me than I would have liked, but the consistency is perfect. I was also afraid it would leave glitter residue like the regular Revlon lipsticks, but it fades nicely. I’ll definitely be back for more colors. I agree, I’ve been using it instead of lipstick too! Sorry lipsticks, you’ve been replaced for something more comfortable…

I love the idea of buying yourself flowers. Such a small gesture but I can totally see how it would brighten up my day.

I actually read somewhere that if you place them where you will see them daily, like your nightstand or kitchen, you are more likely to start your day off in a good mood. Just by looking at flowers! Totally worth the investment. :)
